Polly Nichols is a freelance graphic designer who specialises in magazine artwork. After graduating from Oxford Brookes University with an honours
degree in Publishing and Art History, Polly spent four years working in publishing houses including Penguin and Condé Nast.
Polly became a freelancer in 2004 and since then has worked on high profile
magazines including Glamour, Harpers & Queen and InStyle; Practical Parenting and Junior; Country Life and Homes & Gardens; Zest, Top Santé,
Healthy and Men's Health; Volvo and Land Rover; Marks & Spencer; Sainsbury's Freash Ideas and Cosmo Girl. The magazine houses that Polly has worked for are Hachette Filipacchi, Condé Nast, Emap, IPC, National Magazines, Redwood, River Publishing, Publicis Blueprint and Future.
Apart from producing digital artwork, Polly can add value to a creative team
in related areas. At Land Rover's 'Onelife' magazine, for example, she helped
with the magazine's style redesign, and created mood boards for presentation. She also carries out picture research.
Polly is available for artwork projects lasting from a few days to several weeks.
